Galal Yafai’s world title fight with Ricardo Sandoval has been postponed after the Birmingham man suffered an injury in camp.
The show will still go ahead on June 6 in Sheffield and will now be topped by Josh Padley taking on Aqib Fiaz with the European super-featherweight title on the line.
The show was originally meant to be headlined by Dalton Smith’s first world title defence against Albert Puello, but when Smith was injured in training, Yafai was promoted to main event.
The show’s curse has now continued but the event will still go on as the boxers set to feature will still receive the opportunities they have been working hard for.
New dates are set to be confirmed for Smith and Yafai’s world title fights, but for now Padley and Fiaz will now have the chance to steal the show.
