Canelo Alvarez has seemingly confirmed he will face Christian M'billi on Saturday, October 31 following their postponed fight.
The Mexican star was set to challenge the Canadian-Cameroonian fighter for the WBC sper-middleweight title this September.
But a family matter for the former forced plans to change, with questions over when the pound-for-pound star would next fight.
Now, speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Canelo has effectively confirmed a Halloween showdown against the champion, which will be live on DAZN PPV.
It will mean a year-plus layoff for the star, who has not fought since he lost the division's undisputed crown to Terence Crawford.
Canelo was slated to face M'billi originally in Saudi Arabia, though a change of location could be on the cards for the new date.
Given his long-standing relationship with Las Vegas, it is not implausible to consider that any rescheduled bout could move there.
M'billi, the former WBC interim champion, was promoted after Crawford announced his sudden retirement at the end of 2025.
