His name continues to be linked with major fights, and speculation over a possible comeback may only increase depending on what unfolds this weekend.

Speaking ahead of the bout, Crawford made it clear that he is leaning towards the challenger, explaining why Romero’s success against Garcia may have provided Benn with the blueprint he needs. 

“I think Conor Benn,” Crawford told DAZN after being asked who he expects to come out on top. 

“I think Rolly showed us all that if you don’t get hit with the left hook and you land your big shots, then you can neutralise Ryan. 

“I think Conor Benn going in with a great game plan can be victorious.”
