Terence Crawford is back in the training ring - but the star remains insistent that he has hung up his boxing gloves for good.
The multi-weight champion retired last year after dethroning Canelo Alvarez as undisputed super-middleweight champion.
'Bud', one of the most decorated pound-for-pound stars of his generation, has since refuted multiple rumours over a return.
But tongues will be wagging after confirmation from the star that he has returned to the gym with Brian "BoMac" McIntyre.
Â
Crawford is reportedly not mounting a comeback however, and instead is seeking to help Lester Martinez bank some rounds.
The latter is due to face Luka Plantic later this month, in what is a critical test for the WBC super-middleweight interim holder.
Victory for Martinez would tee up a shot at the winner of Christian M'billi's October showdown against Canelo for the full title.
The latter still hopes to tempt Crawford back for a rematch too after just a third career loss - but for now, it appears still unlikely.
The site of Terence Crawford back in the gym should not necessarily come as a surprise, given 'Bud' remains as fit as a fiddle.
But the presence of Brian McIntyre will undoubted stoke hopes for a return, even if the explanation pass comfortable muster.
Crawford caught plenty unawares when he quit the game last year, even if he had ticked off just about every credible milestone.
The star isn't getting any younger either, and by all accounts, appears to be enjoying himself since he hung up the gloves too.
For now, the likelihood of a return appears slim. But of course, boxing is never anything but unpredictable. Time still remains.
