Haney vs. Davis world title fight purse bid won by Top Rank
Devin Haney's WBO welterweight title defence against Keyshawn Davis took another step towards being announced after Top Rank won the purse bid for promotional rights.
Top Rank's $8.55m bid blew away Teofimo Lopez's Takeover Promotions, who bid $2.35m.
Davis is the mandatory challenger for Haney's WBO title, and a date of October 3 has been proposed with the Barclays Center in New York, State Farm Arena in Atlanta and the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas being touted as potential venues.
Crawford's critical analysis of Spence loss to Tszyu
Former two-weight undisputed champion Terence Crawford made a critical assessment of Errol Spence Jr. in what was his final fight.
Last weekend, Spence travelled to Australia to face Tim Tszyu, but he was comfortably beaten on points and immediately called time on a career which saw the American considered one of the world's best pound-for-pound fighters.
Crawford, who beat Spence to become the undisputed champion at welterweight three years ago, told Fight Hub TV that his former rival has nothing left to give inside the ring.
"He just didn't have it. From the jump, you can tell that his balance was off. He was reaching," Crawford said.
"He didn't take the punches well. He was slow. Like, you can just tell that Tim was fresher."
