Eddie Hearn reveals next course of action after heated Chris Eubank Jr. press conference clash

Eddie Hearn is weighing up his legal options following Chris Eubank Jr.'s explosive claims, with the Matchroom boss stating he will protect his promotion's reputation "at all costs".
The two men were involved in a prolonged verbal altercation at the press conference for the former's rematch with Conor Benn, The Ring: Unfinished Business live on DAZN PPV.
Across a near-hour legnth event as heated, fierce and awkward as expected, Eubank Jr. - among other things - claimed his ambulance was blocked by the Benn camp in April.
The veteran was taken to hospital following his unanimous decision victory for severe dehydration, and suggested that he was delayed on the orders of Hearn for twenty minutes.
Speaking afterwards, the latter acknowledged that he was considering his next steps, with the potential for the pair to be drawn into the courts after their series of fiery exchanges.
"All he did was play the victim, make wild accusations," he told The Stomping Ground. "Accusations you will pay for. He is off his rocker. We will now see what happens with that.
"I am not having someone accuse me and my organisation of stopping an amblance. There is a log of on the night with the paramedics with the British Board of Control.
"Let's see if Matchroom or me stopped an ambulance on the night. I said to [Eubank Jr's promoter] Ben [Shalom] 'if you'd have said that, you would be in a terrible position legally'.
"If you make accusations like that about me and my company we will deal with it, because that is on another level. That's not me wanting to be trigger happy
"Getting lawyers involved, that's my right to make sure our reputation is protected. I will protect it at all costs when it comes to something as serious as that."
Both Eubank Jr. and Hearn traded verbals with every insult, barb, threat and accustation they had in their respective arsenals, to shut down any suggestion hostilities had thawed.
Questions as to whether the former and Benn had shared any begrudging respect were seemingly smashed during the event, as Eubank Jr. continued to level accusations.
It is not the first time the veteran has found himself in legal trouble though, after he was forced to backpedal claims made during a Riyadh Season press conference last year.
Queensberry Promotions boss Frank Warren threatened to bring action against him, having previously successfully sued the star for a breach of contract previously in his career.
At the time, Eubank Jr. issued a statement saying: "I would like to retract my inaccurate statements and offer my apologies to Frank Warren, Eddie Hearn and Kalle Sauerland."
