In a billing titled “Dave vs. Goliath,” David Allen will try to upset Filip Hrgovic and derail the Croatian’s recent win streak.
The heavyweight clash takes place Saturday night at Eco-Power Stadium in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England, and live on DAZN.
After a raucous knockout of Johnny Fisher in their May 2025 rematch, Allen (25-8-2, 20 KOs) came back down to earth via a unanimous decision loss to Arslanbek Makhmudov in October. That said, the ‘White Rhino’ did get back into the win column with a first-round TKO of Karim Berredjem in February.
Allen will be giving up three inches in height and seven inches of reach to Hrgovic (19-1, 14 KOs) who has shared the ring with the likes of Daniel Dubois and Zhilei Zhang. Following a 2024 knockout loss to Dubois, the Croatian heavyweight used last year to resurrect his career by edging Joe Joyce and David Adeleye on points roughly four months apart.
Will Hrgovic add to his win streak with a dominant showing against Allen? Or will Allen shock him with an upset? DAZN News examines who has the edge between Hrgovic and Allen heading into this weekend’s bout.
