Katie Taylor will hope to bring the curtain down on a glittering career this weekend when she tops a Croke Park homecoming against Flora Pili.
The Irish superstar will call time on her glittering tenure in the ring by heading back to Dublin for a bout that's sure to go down in local history.
But Taylor will not be the only name bound to generate headlines as the sport rolls into September, with plenty of others set to be in the news too.

As actor Barry Keoghan cut a superb promo video for the star's impending bout, the magnitude of Taylor's exit appears to be hitting home.
80,000 people will reportedly be in attendance for a sold-out salute to both Irish boxing, women's sport and the trailblazer that links them.
Pili will be no pushover, but if anybody can secure themselves a fairytale send-off, then the money will be on 'The Bray Bomber' to deliver.
Donovan and Allen lead support
An intriguing undercard finds less-than-local lad Dave Allen as chief support on the evening, taking on the challenge of Thomas Carty.
But it is the clash between ex-IBF welterweight challenger Paddy Donovan and Tyrone McKenna that will thrill a local crowd most of all.

The former is bidding for a shot at the crown he missed out on against Lewis Crocker, now with Liam Paro - and can boost his hopes here.
Ruiz seeks rebuild operation
One night before across the North Atlantic, former unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. will bid to show he still belongs near the top.
A stop-start career since the star's duology with Anthony Joshua has seen him struggle for momentum, with just three fights in seven years.
Ruiz will hope that a New Jersey bout with Damian Knyba can kickstart a rebuild operation that will help him push back towards the summit.
Fury-Joshua near to deal?
Boxing's longest-running soap opera truly is in the crunch stages now - and it does appear like there could be some daylight coming into view.

Joshua and promoter Eddie Hearn appear to have had their demands met by powerbrokers to withdraw objections over a New York City fight.
That leaves Tyson Fury chomping at the bit - and the star has already teased this week that further details will be going public soon enough.
Garcia-Benn into late prep
One American fight definitely entering a critical phase is the WBC welterweight contest between Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn next week.
Few fights seem to come as loaded with character as this one, with both stars likely to live up to their reputations - and then some - beforehand.
Whether the bout matches up to expectations is another matter entirely. For the sake of drama, there will be high hopes it does on all fronts.
