Gennadiy Golovkin promises to deliver "The Big Drama Show" in potential record-setting title defense

Since destroying Kell Brook's face and breaking his orbital bone in September 2016, Gennadiy Golovkin is 4-1-1. Out of those four wins, two have come by knockout.
People have wondered what happened to the destroyer who terrorized the middleweight division with one devastating knockout after another, becoming one of boxing's true global attractions and known by one name — "GGG".
Golovkin (40-1-1, 35 KOs) returns to action for the first time in 14 months when he defends the IBF title against mandatory challenger Kamil Szeremeta on Friday night at the Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, live on DAZN globally (excluding Kazakhstan). Golovkin realizes fans want "The Big Drama Show" and plans on giving everyone what they want to see.
"Certainly (I will bring things back)," Golovkin said through a translator at Wednesday's press conference. "I do take this seriously. I train for this specific reason. I do believe that people will want a "Big Drama Show". I had a lot of time to get ready for this (fight). We will see the best Gennadiy Golovkin."
A win over the undefeated Szeremeta (21-0, 5 KOs) would mark the 21st defense of a middleweight title that Golovkin has held throughout his career, breaking a tie with Bernard Hopkins. Looking at what could potentially happen in a few short days, Golovkin is happy to be in the position he's in.
"Very proud (of the potential achievement)," Golovkin said. "To reach this opportunity is a great step for me. This record defense will be a very important role. I'm just one step away from setting this new record. This record has stood for so many years, and it's exciting."
