Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller returns to the ring next month against unbeaten fighter

“This is a big fight in the Heavyweight division,” said promoter Eddie Hearn in a statement. “Jarrell broke the internet in New York and went viral for his hairy moment against Ibeh, but he also picked up a good win and crucial rounds too. Jarrell now must take this opportunity by the scruff of the neck and put himself into the conversation for the big names in the division.

Miller (27-1-2, 22 KOs) was last in action at The Ring 6 in January, when he defeated Kingsley Ibeh by split decision. The 37-year-old famously had his hairpiece dislodged by Ibeh before removing it and tossing it into the crowd in a moment that went viral, with Miller later stating, "when you get old, s— happens."

“The most exciting, the most entertaining Heavyweight in the world is back in action, bringing the fireworks,” said Miller. “And remember, when you step in the ring with me, there’s always a price to toupee!”

While the American won't likely have another hair-related mishap against Pero (13-0, 8 KOs), Miller will still have a big challenge on his hands against the undefeated Cuban. Pero's last fight came in November against Jordan Thompson, with the 33-year-old claiming a unanimous decision victory to maintain his perfect record as a professional.

Miller vs. Pero will serve as a WBA heavyweight world title eliminator, as both men look to take one step closer to a championship bout.
