Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller felt the urgency of Saturday night possibly being his final chance to make a run at becoming a heavyweight world champion.
He responded by cramping Lenier Pero's space and dominating a slugfest to have his hand raised in the WBA title eliminator at Fountainbleau Las Vegas, and live and exclusively on DAZN . At the end of 12 rounds that mostly saw inside, phone-booth action, judges scored it 117-111, 117-111 and 115-113 all in favor of Miller for a pivotal unanimous decision.
Miller (28-1-2, 22 knockouts) and his Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn later eyed lining up a fight between 'Big Baby' and Deontay Wilder.
