Jarrell Miller had a hair-raising experience that went viral his last fight in January.
Now, with arguably more attention on him than ever, 'Big Baby' clashes with unbeaten Cuban heavyweight Lenier Pero at Fountainbleau Las Vegas, and live and exclusively on DAZN , on Saturday night. The tilt will be an eliminator for the WBA title held by unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

Miller (27-1-2, 22 knockouts) last scored a split-decision win over Kingsley Ibeh in a rather underwhelming January fight that was more highlighted for a second-round jab that sent Miller’s hairpiece floating off his head than anything else.
‘Big Baby,’ who has lost some weight, will aim for a better performance against Pero (13-0, 8 KOs) who Is coming off a unanimous decision over Jordan Thompson in November.

Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller is at his best on the front foot, pressuring forward with the jab before mixing in some combinations where the Brooklyn, New Yorker shows better hand speed and overall boxing skills than he’s credited for.
Miller will be tasked to hit a Lenier Pero who has good hand position and is solid defensively. Offensively, Pero makes routine deposits to the body with hard hooks and level changes into stab jabs as he pressures forward. While the Cuban heavyweight pours a lot of his attention to opponents’ midsections, he also possesses a whiplashing overhand left that he detonates with speed and force.
This clash of styles is close, with Miller getting the slight edge as long as he lets his hand go and does not get put on the back foot often.

Miller has not recorded a knockout since March 2023, but his punching power is there as evidenced by 22 of his 27 wins coming by the way of knockout. Pero, too, has pop to his punch and can be a matchup problem as a southpaw. Eight of his 13 victories have been claimed by knockout including an April 2025 drubbing of Detrailous Webster.

Experience-wise, Miller has shared the ring with the likes of former world champions in Andy Ruiz Jr. and Daniel Dubois. Pero has an excellent amateur pedigree with solid skills, but has never fought the quality of opponents Miller has.
With urgency to cash in on this WBA title eliminator, Miller has also gotten into better shape for this fight than he was in January against Kingsley Ibeh. The experience and better conditioning should have Miller feeling confident he can hand Pero his first professional loss.
