Moses can exploit this Hrgovic flaw, says ex-Tyson trainer Atlas

Moses and Hrgovic will clash at London's O2 Arena on Saturday, August 29, live on DAZN PPV and Ultimate Tier, and Moses could become the youngest heavyweight champion since Mike Tyson if he gets his arm raised. 

One man who was close to Tyson in the early stages of his career was Teddy Atlas, and while he left as an assistant trainer to the American, Atlas' biggest success came in the heavyweight division when he helped Michael Moorer win the world title in 1994.

Hrgovic height a big disadvantage

Speaking to CanadaCasino, Atlas revealed that Hrgovic's height is something Moses can exploit. 

The Croatian, who measures at 6' 6", is an inch and a half taller than Moses, and in the eyes of Atlas, Hrgovic is yet to improve his defence.

Singling out Hrgovic's lack of head movement, Atlas believes there are too many areas for Moses to target which will likely result in him getting the knockout. 

"The place where Hrgović comes up short for me is his defence. He has shown himself to have a very good chin, but he is still too easy to hit," Atlas said.

"He changed trainers and he still has not improved technically. When you are that big and tall, if you do not move your head or do the things you have to do defensively, being tall can work against you.

"You become that tall building, and there are a lot of windows to break, like I used to say on ESPN. Those windows can get broken. If a guy like Itauma can catch him, I think he is going to get rid of him."

Hrgovic has enjoyed plenty of success against British opponents as of late. 

After being stopped by Daniel Dubois on cuts two years ago, the Croatian has gone on to beat Joe Joyce, David Adeleye and most recently Dave Allen. 

While Hrgovic has projected confidence in the build-up, Moses is a different test altogether.

He is arguably boxing's must-see star and has won all but two of his 14 fights by knockout.
