Moses 'bets his house' on Hrgovic world title fight prediction

It was confirmed by Frank Warren and Queensberry promotions on Tuesday that the belt, which was once held by Oleksandr Usyk, will be on the line at London's O2 Arena. 

For Moses, it's a chance to become the second youngest world heavyweight champion, a feat only bettered by the legendary Mike Tyson, while Hrgovic attempts to become Croatia's first ever world heavyweight champion. 

The contest is set for August 29, exclusively live on DAZN PPV and Ultimate Tier, and it should be a punishing encounter.

Moses and Hrgovic are fighters who let their hands do the talking, and the former is one of boxing's hottest names right now after passing each test with flying colours. 

Hrgovic is a significant step up compared Moses' last opponent Jermaine Franklin. The Croatian is an Olympic bronze medallist whose sole professional loss came against Daniel Dubois, and that was only because of cuts. 

However, if Moses manages to get past Hrgovic, then a world title fight is surely next. 

Moses makes confident prediction 

Moses is deep into his training camp, but on Saturday night, he found time to attend the thrilling clash between Pierce O'Leary and Mark Chamberlain. 

The 21-year-old was ringside for the co-main event and was supporting stablemate Royston Barney-Smith who beat veteran Reece Bellotti. 

Ahead of the main event, Itauma appeared on DAZN's live broadcast to preview his meeting with Hrgovic, and is confident he can beat the Croatian by knockout. 

"If I stick to the gameplan, I can get him out of there, you never know," Moses said. "If I had to bet my house on it, I’d bet a knockout."

For someone who is just four weeks away from the biggest night of his career so far, Moses was incredibly calm. 

That is the demeanour he often projects, and rarely gets swept up into the emotion, but Moses did admit that he gets nervous before his fights, albeit at an unlikely stage. 

"I kind of get nervous when it’s 10 weeks out because I know I have something to do about it, I can change the outcome of the fight.

"When guys get nervous before a fight, the training is done, the camp is done, there’s nothing to worry about."
