Is IBF showdown right place, right time for Itauma coronation?
Moses vs Hrgovic: Watch on DAZN PPV - TOMORROW

Moses Itauma will have the opportunity to write himself into the history books if he defeats Filip Hrgovic in London tomorrow.

The Briton could become the second-youngest world heavyweight champion in history if he captures the vacant IBF crown.

Twenty-one last December, the star's blistering ascent through the blue-riband ranks has been nothing short of remarkable.

Yet as his opponent continues to goad him over his age and ability, there are still some unanswered questions to be sought.

Is world champion pressure on Moses Itauma?

Is this clash the right place and right time for Moses to be coronated? Or could it be a bridge too far? DAZN News considers.

What has been said about this fight?

Speaking at Thursday's press conference, Queensberry Promotions CEO George Warren backed his star to seize this chance.

"Boxing is about timing and this is the right fight at the right time," he stated on, adding that it is "the first step on the ladder" too.

Moses himself has played down the historic element of his clash, electing to focus merely on the fact it is a world title encounter.

Hrgovic, in contrast, has sought to play up the comparisons with Mike Tyson that have been frequently bestowed on his rival.

It has been a prolonged game of psychological warfare from the Croatian - and it comes rooted with a kernal of the unknown.

Is this too much, too soon for Moses?

The proof will be in the pudding on Saturday night, but much contention has been made over whether Moses has been tested yet.

The star has come through both of his big-name tests to date with flying colours, but critics and rivals have argued about caveats.

In dropping Dillian Whyte inside a round, Moses clearly put an opponent far past their prime fitness and peak form to bed easily.

With Jermaine Franklin, he was pushed five rounds, requiring further calculation - but still got the job done with brutal efficiency.

Yet the American had fought sparodically beforehand, and never quite seemed as readily comfortable as many hoped he would.

How can Moses answer critics next?

This is a straightforward matter. A win - any win - over Hrgovic effectively silences the doubters with the biggest prize in boxing.

But a win akin to the way Moses has torn through the division so far - a quick stoppage - will make the naysayers eat humble pie.

Hrgovic, as he reminded his own critics, has never been stopped in his professional career, and only suffered one knockdown.

Given the general nature of heavyweight boxing, it seems unlikely that both will go the distance without one hitting the canvas.

That, therefore, might be the path Moses must take - dropping and stopping Hrgovic to prove this really is his time to shine.
