Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury 2: MMA star Francis Ngannou picks his winner

Taking place on Saturday night, Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will meet in an eagerly anticipated heavyweight rematch live on DAZN PPV. 

The event, which is being promoted by Riyadh Season, will close what has been a memorable year for boxing after His Excellency Turki Alalshikh staged his first event back in October 2023.

This saw Tyson Fury go up against the former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in what was the latter's professional boxing debut. 

What transpired was a fight no one expected with Fury getting a narrow win on the judges' scorecards despite being knocked down by Ngannou in the third round. 

It has been 14 months since that fight and Ngannou is back in Riyadh to witness Fury's second meeting with Usyk, and he made his prediction in an interview with BoxNation. 

"I think it’s going to be a huge fight," Ngannou said. 

"Based on the first fight, I think it’s really hard to not give it to Usyk.

"But I’ll go with Tyson."

While Ngannou's next move in boxing is unknown, he did make a successful return to MMA earlier this year when he stopped Renan Ferreira to become the PFL's first ever super fights heavyweight champion.
