Oleksandr Usyk insists he had no problem with the refereeing in his first fight against Tyson Fury.
Fury lost his WBC strap as the Ukrainian became the first ever undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era.
The two are set to run it back in December, without the IBF belt on the line any longer, as new champion Daniel Dubois will defend that strap against Anthony Joshua on September 21, live on DAZN.
Usyk had appeared to be behind in the earlier stages of their first clash, but he rallied hard in the ninth and many think the referee could have stepped in to wave off the fight when Fury was bouncing off the ropes.
However, speaking to Sky , Usyk had no problem with the referee’s actions.
"For me, it doesn't matter," he said. "Every referee, it's a professional guy. The referee does his job. Maybe my last punch would be dangerous for Tyson Fury. It's good.
"Tyson has a big family, I have a big family. Listen, we win. Everything is ok. I do not think about the referee after the fight. We win, thank god, all good, everything is ok.
"A lot of people say, 'Oh the referee took your knockout win' and say 'Referee bad'. I think no, the referee is good. It's just talking. Blah blah blah."
