Pat Brown, one of British boxing's rising stars, has confirmed his first fight of 2026 after beginning his professional career a year ago.

On Friday, April 3 at Planet Ice, Altrincham, Brown will take on the Czech Republic's Vasil Ducar in a contest which the former will hope can begin a charge towards a major title challenge.

The bout, which will be broadcast exclusively live on DAZN, will be Brown's sixth fight as a pro, and so far it could not have gone any better.

Fighting five times in 2025, Brown won all of these contests by way of knockout and even had time to make his US debut in November against Felix Valera.

His opponent Ducar is an experienced operator, fighting 28 times and boasting a 19-7-2 (14 KOs) record.

Brown will be a favourite come the opening bell, but Ducar arrives in the north west of England in red hot form after winning four of his last five fights within the scheduled distance.

He may only have been lacing up the gloves professionally for a year, but 2026 feels like a big year for Pat Brown.

The former Olympian has passed every test with ease and it feels like a British title challenge will arrive in the not too distant future.

However, Brown must continue to impress and Ducar will bring fireworks.
