Bellotti weighs in on triple-belt 'dream' as he prepares to spoil Garner party

The pair face off for the trio of major domestic crowns at Bournemouth International Centre this weekend, live to watch on DAZN.

In an exclusive interview with DAZN News, Bellotti has spoken about his long-held ambition to take all three straps, as well as his improved style and willingness to weather any changes.

"To take every belt in the domestic scene is a dream to have," he said. "I’ve wanted it for a long time, through the string of losses, so it’s been a big dream of mine.

"Over the last few years, I’ve adopted my style to become more of a box fighter, which means I’ve able to do a bit of both. I’m willing to do a bit of both.

"I’ve always been one of those people who doesn’t have a set superstition or routine. I’ve always believed that in life, something might change, something you can’t control.

"If it doesn’t work out, then you’re not prepared for that on the night. I have preferences, but if it doesn’t work out, I’ll do something else. I know what job I need to do."

Bellotti also opened up on his influences and idols, explaining how he has taken their styles and incorporated them into his own, plus what he would tell his younger self now.

"My two main ones are Joe Calzaghe and Ricky Hatton," he added. I’ve met Ricky, but only shaken his hand. The business of Calzaghe, the work rate and action of Hatton.

"They’re what I try and bring myself. It’s still a work in progress, but they’re the things I take from them. [I'd tell younger me to] add more strings to your bow.

"At that time, I thought I was just a wrecking machine and that anybody that I touched would go over. I’ve found out the hard way that it is not always the case."
