Scotland vs. Brazil preview: Team news and how to watch World Cup match

For the Scots, whose Tartan Army have made headlines during their time in the United States so far, a chance at advancement to the last-32 is at stake. Scotland opened their tournament with a 1-0 win over Haiti before falling to Morocco by the same score, and now they need at least a point, but preferably three, against the most successful nation in the history of the World Cup.

As for the Brazilians, they enter Wednesday on four points after drawing 1-1 with Morocco before pummeling Haiti 3-0. Their place in the knockouts is likely, but any points picked up against Scotland will ensure their passage into the round of 32.

The Scots lined up in a 3-5-2 against Morocco after using a 4-4-2 formation in their opening match. Against Brazil, expect Scotland to pack the midfield in a similar fashion.

Scott McTominay played higher up the pitch against the Moroccans but his influence in the middle of the park may be needed in this match.

Brazil

Raphinha suffered a hamstring injury in Brazil's most recent match, and he will be out for this contest.
