Just like that, we have reached the final round of group games at the 2026 World Cup, where the remaining teams with a chance of making the Round of 32 will be keenly aware of the task at hand.
After their second round of fixtures, only seven teams have already made it through to the knockout stages, meaning there is still an awful lot to play for in the third and final group phase clashes.
Co-hosts Canada have put themselves in a great position to progress for the first time in their history, following their first-ever World Cup win.
The 6-0 thrashing of Qatar means they have the strongest goal difference in Group B and only need a point from their remaining game.

How can Canada qualify for the Last 32?
If the Canadians win or draw against Switzerland, they will top the group as winners and go through to the next round.
They'll also grab a runners-up spot if they lose to Switzerland, and Bosnia and Herzegovina fail to beat Qatar.
If Bosnia win, Canada can still finish second due to overall goal difference, or, if that is equal, overall number of goals scored, or, if that is equal, Fair Play ranking.
And if the two teams are still equal at that point, Canada would finish above Bosnia and Herzegovina as the higher-ranked team in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.

Who could Canada face in the knockout round?
If they top the group, the Canadians would play a third-place team from Group E, F, G, I, or J, which would mean they would remain on home soil in Vancouver.
A second-place finish would see them meet the Group A runners-up, which is likely to be South Korea.
