Inverness see lead at the top of League One trimmed to one point after draw
Inverness’ lead at the top of Scottish League One is down to one point after they were held to a 1-1 draw by third-placed Alloa.
Charlie Dewar put Alloa ahead on the stroke of half-time and Caley Thistle’s hopes of a comeback were hit when, after pulling the visitors level on the hour mark, Chanka Zimba was sent off 10 minutes later.
Inverness have now drawn three of their last five matches and Stenhousemuir closed the gap thanks to a 2-0 victory over bottom side Kelty Hearts.
Ross Taylor put the hosts ahead in the seventh minute and they made sure of the points when Matt Aitken added a second eight minutes from time.

In Scottish League Two, East Kilbride leapfrogged Spartans into top spot with a 3-2 win over Stirling Albion.
Two goals in five minutes late in the first half put the hosts in control and Bobby McLuckie restored the two-goal advantage after Ryan Shanley had pulled one back. MacKenzie Carse scored a second for Stirling in stoppage time but it did not change the outcome.
Spartans were held to a 1-1 draw by Forfar, with both goals coming in the opening 10 minutes before Stuart Morrison was sent off for the hosts late on.
Third-placed Clyde were 2-1 winners over Stanraer, with goals from Barry Cuddihy and Robbie Leitch proving enough.
Ryan Sargent scored twice as Elgin eased to a 3-0 win over bottom side Edinburgh while Dumbarton pulled nine points clear of 10th spot by beating Annan 2-1.
