With Brazil and Morocco in their group, Scotland really need a win here to put them in the best position to reach the knockouts.
That alone should ensure there are no signs of complacency in Steve Clarke's side, who are expected to come out firing.
Scott McTominay was our initial tip for a goal or an assist, but as he's nursing an upset stomach, we've pivoted to Shankland to score.
His confidence boosted by his transfer to Rangers, and after netting twice against Curacao in May before adding another in last week's 4-0 demolition of Bolivia, he'll fancy his chances of getting on the scoresheet again.
Another World Cup card bonanza?
Having not featured at a World Cup since 1998, and with no wins at the tournament since 1990, Scotland will be desperate to make amends.
That pressure, and the determination to get a result, should mean they'll leave nothing on the field at the Boston Stadium.
Haiti picked up at least two yellow cards per game in four of their five qualifiers, and even had four against Nicaragua.
Scotland had 11 yellows in theirs, and with the stakes far higher in this one, both teams could be set for more.

He averages just over 4 cards per match, and with the two sides going at it in what's likely to be 30-degree temperatures, it seems likely that more than 3.5 cards will be handed out.
