AEW Dynamite results: Kenny Omega's next title defence confirmed as road to All In continues

Fresh from reclaiming the AEW World Championship, Kenny Omega celebrated his title victory before learning who would stand opposite him at Redemption, while Kyle Fletcher, Christian Cage and Adam Copeland all retained championship gold. Elsewhere, Mercedes Moné closed the show with victory in front of her hometown crowd as several major matches were confirmed for the coming weeks.

Kenny Omega's next challenger confirmed

After defeating MJF to become a two-time AEW World Champion last week, Kenny Omega officially celebrated his title victory on Dynamite.

The celebration quickly turned into a statement of intent for the weeks ahead. Omega promised to deliver the very best version of himself as champion with Wembley Stadium fast approaching, before Will Ospreay joined him in the ring to reaffirm their focus on the AEW World Championship ahead of All In.

Their moment was interrupted by TNT Champion Kevin Knight, who demanded the world title opportunity previously promised to him. Omega accepted the challenge, making their championship clash official for AEW Redemption on July 26.

Knight then ended the segment by attacking the champion before escaping as Darby Allin attempted to intervene, setting the tone for another explosive chapter on the road to Redemption.

Championships remain unchanged

Christian Cage and Adam Copeland successfully defended the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta in the night's opening contest despite interference after the match from The Dogs and the Death Riders.

Kyle Fletcher also retained the AEW International Championship following an impressive defence against Komander, although the aftermath quickly shifted attention towards his next challenger. Bandido confronted the champion following the match, leading Fletcher to issue a challenge for Redemption.

Elsewhere, Andrade defeated Jake Doyle to secure an AEW National Championship opportunity against Mark Davis, while Darby Allin overcame Brian Cage to earn a TNT Championship match against Kevin Knight on next week's Dynamite.

Mercedes Moné ends the night in style

The main event saw Boston welcome home Mercedes Moné, who teamed with AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions Megan Bayne and Lena Kross against Willow Nightingale, Maya World and Hyan.

Moné finished the match with the Moné Maker to give her team the victory, closing another eventful edition of Dynamite as the women's division continues to build momentum heading into Redemption.

The road to AEW All In continues

While Redemption is now the immediate focus, Dynamite also continued laying the foundations for AEW All In at Wembley Stadium.

Omega's successful defence against Kevin Knight would leave him on course for the blockbuster showdown with Will Ospreay that has been building since he regained the AEW World Championship, while several other rivalries across the card continue to take shape ahead of AEW's biggest event of the year.
