AEW Dynamite results: Kenny Omega saves All In rival Will Ospreay from brutal attack

Kenny Omega came to the rescue of the man looking to take his AEW World Championship at All In as the road to Wembley took another dramatic turn on Dynamite.
Will Ospreay was attacked by members of the Don Callis Family after calling out Omega, only for the champion to emerge armed with a metal pipe and clear the ring.
The unlikely rescue produced a tense exchange between the All In opponents, with Omega warning Ospreay that it would be the final time he helped him before their blockbuster showdown at Wembley Stadium. Ospreay responded by telling the champion he had not asked for his help – and would not need it again.
Elsewhere, Jon Moxley defeated "Jungle" Jack Perry in the main event, Swerve Strickland made his shock return, Mercedes Moné brutally attacked Willow Nightingale and MJF secured the No. 2 spot in the All In Casino Gauntlet.

Kenny Omega saves Will Ospreay from Don Callis Family

Ospreay opened Dynamite by calling out the man he will challenge for the AEW World Championship at All In.
Instead of Omega, Don Callis answered.
Callis revisited his history with both men before warning Ospreay that his road to Wembley would be paved in blood.
Members of the Don Callis Family then attacked Ospreay, with Mark Davis, Jake Doyle, Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta overwhelming the British star.
Omega eventually appeared carrying a metal pipe and took out members of the group before confronting Ospreay himself.
The champion told his All In challenger that he had become sloppy and made it clear that was not the Ospreay he wanted to face at Wembley.
Omega helped Ospreay back to his feet but warned him that he would not do so again.
From this point onwards, Omega insisted, it would be just the two of them.
Ospreay thanked Omega but made it clear that the champion should not expect gratitude to change their rivalry, insisting he had never asked to be rescued and would not need his help again.
Jon Moxley defeats Jack Perry in Dynamite main event

Jon Moxley advanced to the quarter-finals of the AEW Continental Challenge Cup after surviving a huge challenge from "Jungle" Jack Perry.
Moxley quickly turned their first one-on-one encounter into a physical battle, opening Perry up and repeatedly targeting the wound.
Perry fought his way back into the contest and threatened a major upset, surviving a Gotch-style piledriver and a huge lariat before trapping Moxley in the Snare Trap.
Moxley eventually escaped and applied the Bulldog Choke.
Perry twice battled back to his feet before collapsing, prompting the referee to call for the bell and send Moxley into the final eight.
The pair shook hands after the match as Dynamite went off the air.
Swerve Strickland makes shock return
Swerve Strickland made a surprise return to AEW television during a celebration for new AEW World Trios Champions "Hangman" Adam Page, Brody King and Bandido.
Swerve had not been seen since his defeat to Ospreay in the Owen Cup final and immediately addressed his considerable history with all three champions.
That included another face-to-face with Page before The Demand interrupted proceedings.
Ricochet demanded another opportunity at the Trios Championships and became involved in a heated exchange with Swerve before the former AEW World Champion departed.
Mercedes Moné launches brutal attack on Willow Nightingale

The rivalry between Mercedes Moné and AEW Women's World Champion Willow Nightingale escalated ahead of their meeting at All In.
Nightingale was speaking to Renee Paquette when Moné attacked her from behind.
Moné repeatedly whipped Nightingale with her Owen Hart Championship before continuing to taunt the champion as she lay on the floor.
The attack delivered another emphatic message before the pair meet with the AEW Women's World Championship on the line at Wembley.
MJF secures No. 2 spot in All In Casino Gauntlet
MJF continued his return to AEW by defeating Nick Wayne and "Speedball" Mike Bailey in a three-way match with major All In implications.
The winner would secure the No. 2 position in the Casino Gauntlet at Wembley Stadium.
Bailey appeared to have the match won after hitting Wayne with Ultima Weapon, only for MJF to throw him from the ring and lock Wayne in Salt of the Earth.
Wayne submitted, securing MJF's position in the Gauntlet.
MJF then promised to leave Wembley with the Casino Gauntlet contract before turning his attention to Omega and Ospreay, warning that both men should hope they do not eventually have to face him.
Kevin Knight retains TNT Championship
Kevin Knight successfully defended the TNT Championship against former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.
Jericho threatened to take the championship after locking Knight in the Walls of Jericho, but Don Callis intervened behind the referee's back.
Knight eventually capitalised on another distraction, hitting Jericho with a low blow before landing the Crash Landing for the victory.
Darby Allin later addressed Knight ahead of their Falls Count Anywhere match at Wembley, warning the champion about how far he is prepared to go at All In.
New title match added to AEW All In
AEW International Champion Kyle Fletcher also discovered who he will face at Wembley Stadium.
Fletcher will defend the championship against both Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada in a three-way match.
Don Callis revealed the contest during an interview with Fletcher, but the announcement appeared to expose growing tensions within the Don Callis Family as the champion reacted angrily to the news.

Jay White's victory over David Finlay also secured his place in the Continental Challenge Cup quarter-finals, while Kris Statlander's victory over Viva Van preceded the announcement of a four-way TBS Championship match for next week's Dynamite.
