AEW Dynamite results: Kevin Knight leaves Kenny Omega bloodied ahead of Redemption

Kevin Knight successfully retained the TNT Championship before launching a brutal post-match assault on AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, while Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay's uneasy alliance was pushed to its limits ahead of their showdown with The Young Bucks.

Elsewhere, Bandido earned a huge victory over Kyle Fletcher, Divine Dominion survived a brutal No Disqualification title defence and several championship rivalries intensified ahead of one of AEW's biggest events of the summer.

Kevin Knight retains TNT Championship before sending a message to Kenny Omega

Kevin Knight continued his record-breaking TNT Championship reign by surviving a relentless challenge from Darby Allin.

Allin looked set to capture the title after dropping the champion with a Scorpion Death Drop, but referee Paul Turner was inadvertently taken out during the closing stages. The distraction allowed Knight to strike Allin in the back of the head with the TNT Championship before connecting with the UFO Splash to secure his tenth successful title defence.

Knight's night was far from over.

After the main event, the champion stormed the ring and smashed Kenny Omega in the face with the TNT Championship before posing with both titles over a bloodied AEW World Champion, giving himself a huge psychological advantage before they meet at Redemption.

Bandido gains momentum as tensions grow inside the Don Callis Family

Bandido heads into Redemption with momentum after pinning AEW International Champion Kyle Fletcher in tag team action.

Teaming alongside Brody King, the ROH World Champion capitalised after Kazuchika Okada accidentally struck Fletcher, allowing Bandido to hit the 21 Plex and score a huge victory.

The defeat further highlighted the growing cracks inside the Don Callis Family, with Fletcher and Kevin Knight also exchanging heated words earlier in the night over who truly deserves to lead the group into Redemption.

Thekla and Willow Nightingale's rivalry turns physical

There was little chance of keeping the peace during the face-to-face between AEW Women's World Champion Thekla and Willow Nightingale.

Moderated by hardcore legend Mick Foley, the confrontation quickly escalated from verbal exchanges into violence after Thekla struck Willow with a microphone before attempting to whip her with the championship belt.

Willow responded emphatically by launching the champion from the ring with a huge pounce, ensuring neither woman will head into their Women's World Championship clash with any doubts about the other's intentions.

Main event victory fails to unite Omega, Ospreay and Moxley

Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley picked up a victory over Brian Cage, Hechicero and Jake Doyle in the night's main event, but any hopes of building chemistry before Redemption quickly disappeared.

Omega accidentally struck Moxley during the contest and attempted to apologise after the bell, only for tensions to boil over once again. The Young Bucks soon joined the fray, leading to another chaotic brawl between the four men before security finally restored order.

The closing moments belonged to Kevin Knight, however, as the TNT Champion blindsided Omega and stood tall over the bloodied AEW World Champion to end Dynamite on a dramatic note.

All eyes now turn to AEW Redemption

With every major rivalry reaching its boiling point, the stage is now set for AEW Redemption.

Kevin Knight will attempt to become a double champion when he challenges Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship, while Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay will put their uneasy alliance to the test against The Young Bucks.

Bandido will look to turn Wednesday's victory into championship gold against Kyle Fletcher, while Thekla defends the AEW Women's World Championship against Willow Nightingale in another of the night's headline contests.
