Could The New Day be heading to AEW All In? Tony Khan has teased a mystery wildcard team for Sunday's huge Wembley Stadium show, fuelling speculation that former WWE stars Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed could be among the surprise names to appear.
Speaking during his pre-All In media call on Thursday, the AEW president announced a new seven-team Trios Roulette Royale, with six teams confirmed and one mystery trio being kept under wraps until All In.
Khan did not name Kingston or Creed, but revealed he has been looking across the wrestling world as he attempts to secure an intriguing final team for the match.
"I'm always out there scouting, talking in the world of wrestling, and these are developing situations," Khan said, via PWInsider.
"But I think I could field a pretty interesting wildcard team in the seventh spot."
Khan added that work was still ongoing to bring the mystery team to Wembley.
"I still am working on this – to bring in a great wildcard team," he said. "I think I'll be able to get it done."
The comments add another potential surprise to a show already packed with major matches, with fans able to watch AEW All In live on DAZN in eligible territories.
Could The New Day appear at AEW All In?
Khan's refusal to reveal the wildcard trio has naturally fuelled speculation over who could fill the final places in the match.
Two of the names being discussed are Kingston and Creed, formerly known as Xavier Woods, who spent more than a decade together as part of The New Day alongside Big E.
The trio became one of WWE's most successful and recognisable groups, winning multiple tag team championships during their time together.
Kingston also reached the top of WWE when he defeated Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 in 2019 to become WWE Champion.
There has been no confirmation from Khan that Kingston or Creed are part of the mystery trio, and neither man has been officially announced for All In.
However, the wildcard announcement means fans have another potential surprise to look out for on Sunday, with several major names already being linked with possible AEW All In appearances.
The Trios Roulette Royale will see AEW World Trios Champions Hangman Page, Bandido and Brody King defend their titles against The Demand, The Dogs, The Conglomeration, The Death Riders, Bang Bang Gang and Khan's mystery wildcard team.

AEW All In takes place at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday, August 30.
The main PPV begins at 6pm BST, following the pre-show from 4:30pm BST.
Kenny Omega defends the AEW World Championship against Will Ospreay in the main event, while Willow Nightingale puts the AEW Women's World Championship on the line against Mercedes Moné.
