Tomassao Ciampa hails Casino Gauntlet as the most unique match he's ever competed in

As part of Sunday's All in, which you can catch live on DAZN , Ciampa will take part in the event's annual Casino Gauntlet match.

Unlike traditional gauntlet matches, the Casino match is its own entity. Two wrestlers begin, and then are joined by a series of other entrants, but the crucial factor is that the match can end at any time. 

So, while Ciampa has seen most things inside the ropes, this weekend is only the second experience for the former TNT champion in this kind of set-up. 

"It is the most spontaneous match that I've ever been a part of," he exclusively told DAZN News . 

"Because it's just the element of surprise. No one knows. There are no timed intervals. You don't know exactly how many people are in.

"The match can end at any time. It's a very unique experience, very different to put together, very different for the crowd watching. 

"There are so many moving parts.  It's like being in a multiple TLC match. It's like being in a Royal Rumble-type match, a Battle Royal. It's a lot of fun, and also less pressure on each competitor." 

Along with Ciampa, the only other names to have been announced for the bout are Chris Jericho, MJF, Mark Davis and Andrade El Idolo, with plenty of rumours on what surprise names could enter the fray. 

A shock appearance will certainly get a massive reaction from the Wembley crowd, but what is wrestling in a massive stadium actually like? 

During his career, the Boston-native has wrestled in every possible arena you can think of, but he admits, competing in such a big venue has taken some getting used to over the years. 

Adding, "The sound travels and takes a minute, you know, so it's one of those things where a big moment can happen in a match, and you actually kind of hear silence, and it takes like a few seconds for it to trickle down to you.

"So that was the biggest adjustment. Now, I've done a few, so it won't come as a surprise anymore. But the first time, I do remember that, when something big happened in the match, and I was like, what the heck? 

"You take some time, and all of a sudden you hear, oh, so once I got adjusted to that, that was the biggest adjustment.

"Aside from that, you know, wrestling's wrestling.  Once you're in the ring, you're in the zone."

AEW All In takes place at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday, August 30.

The main PPV begins at 6pm BST, following the pre-show from 4:30pm BST.

Kenny Omega defends the AEW World Championship against Will Ospreay in the main event, while Willow Nightingale puts the AEW Women's World Championship on the line against Mercedes Moné.
