What is the AEW All In Casino Gauntlet? Rules, confirmed entrants and what's at stake

Andrade El Ídolo and MJF have already secured the first two entry positions for the match at AEW All In: London on Sunday, August 30, while Tommaso Ciampa and Komander have also declared themselves for the contest.

But the Casino Gauntlet is very different from the traditional multi-man matches wrestling fans may be familiar with.

There are no over-the-top-rope eliminations, competitors enter at different times and, crucially, the match can end before every potential entrant has even reached the ring.

What is the AEW Casino Gauntlet?

The Casino Gauntlet is AEW's unique take on the traditional gauntlet match.

Two wrestlers begin the contest before additional competitors enter at staggered intervals.

Unlike a Royal Rumble, however, wrestlers are not eliminated from the match when they are thrown over the top rope.

Instead, the first wrestler to score a pinfall or submission wins the entire match.

That creates one of the Casino Gauntlet's most unusual features: there is no guarantee every potential competitor will actually enter.

If somebody scores the winning fall before the next entrant is released, the match ends immediately – regardless of who may still be waiting backstage.

What are the AEW Casino Gauntlet rules?

The Casino Gauntlet can feature a maximum of 21 wrestlers, although the match can finish long before reaching that number.

• Two wrestlers begin the match.
• Additional competitors enter individually at staggered intervals.
• There are no traditional eliminations.
• The first pinfall or submission immediately ends the match.
• The match can finish before every potential entrant has entered.

That also means entering early does not necessarily carry the same disadvantage it would in a Royal Rumble.

The first two competitors have to survive for longer, but they also have an opportunity to score the winning fall before some of their biggest rivals have even entered the match.

Who is confirmed for the AEW All In Casino Gauntlet?

Andrade El Ídolo will enter the Casino Gauntlet at number one after defeating Tommaso Ciampa and Komander in a three-way match at AEW Grand Slam: Mexico.

MJF then secured the number two position one week later, meaning the two rivals will begin the match together at Wembley.

The former AEW World Champion had returned following Andrade's victory in Mexico, attacking El Ídolo and making clear that he intended to use the Casino Gauntlet as his route back towards the world championship.

Ciampa and Komander have since declared themselves for the match, although their entry positions remain unknown.

More competitors can join the contest, with the identity and timing of later entrants adding another unpredictable element to the match.

What does the AEW Casino Gauntlet winner get?

The winner of the men's Casino Gauntlet at All In will earn a future opportunity at the AEW World Championship.

That makes the match particularly significant given what will happen elsewhere at Wembley Stadium.

Kenny Omega will defend the AEW World Championship against Will Ospreay in the main event of All In, meaning the Casino Gauntlet winner could emerge from Wembley with a future opportunity against whoever leaves London with the title.

MJF has already made his intentions clear as he attempts to return to the top of AEW, while Andrade, Ciampa, Komander and any further entrants have the same opportunity to transform their world-title prospects with a single pinfall or submission.

Who has previously won the Casino Gauntlet at AEW All In?

The Casino Gauntlet has quickly become a fixture of AEW's biggest event.

Christian Cage won the men's Casino Gauntlet at All In: London in 2024, defeating a field which included Hangman Adam Page, Kazuchika Okada, Ricochet, Zack Sabre Jr. and Nigel McGuinness.

MJF then won the men's match at All In: Texas in 2025, stealing the decisive pinfall after Mark Briscoe hit Roderick Strong with the Jay Driller.

That gives MJF the opportunity to achieve something unique at Wembley as he attempts to win the men's All In Casino Gauntlet for a second consecutive year.
