Boxxer's Ben Shalom has provided an update on when Adam Azim and Chris Eubank Jr. can be expected to return to the ring.Â
Shalom's promotion begins a new era on Saturday night with Troy Williamson's rematch against Callum Simpson broadcast exclusively live on DAZN.Â
Boxxer may not have confirmed their schedule for the rest of the year, but there are plans for some big fight nights according to Shalom.Â
One of Boxxer's star names is super lightweight Adam Azim stopped Steve Claggett in three rounds in May.Â
There is a feeling that Azim is ready to challenge for a world title, and when speaking to DAZN News' Eze Obasi, Shalom revealed that Azim will be fighting in October, and there is a possibility of a world title being on the line.Â
"Adam is going to headline in October, we hope it will be for the world title," Shalom said.Â
"One is being held up because of the nonsense at Zuffa as well. Luckily he’s one of those fighters from an era that wants to win world titles, unify divisions and go down in history, that’s what this sport is about."
When it came to Eubank Jr., Shalom was less giving.Â
Eubank Jr. has been radio silent since losing November's rematch with Conor Benn, but a return is coming sooner rather than later.Â
One name which has been mentioned as a possible opponent for Eubank Jr. is Jake Paul, but according to Shalom, there is a high chance this fight will not be next whilst promising a star name as an alternative.Â
"Let’s see. I don’t think with the weight and the timing of that fight it will happen next," Shalom responded when asked about Eubank Jr. vs. Paul.Â
When asked about who Eubank Jr. could face, Shalom replied with "A very big name."
Watch Moses Itauma attempt to become the youngest world heavyweight champion since Mike Tyson against Filip Hrgovic on Saturday, August 29, only on DAZN.
Buy as a one-off PPV or included along with Romero vs. Lopez (Aug 22) and Canelo vs. Mbilli (Oct 31) PPVs with a DAZN Ultimate Tier subscription.
