'Makes sense!' - Eubank Jr. eyed up by Berlanga for London clash

The former scored a comfortable win over Steven Butler earlier this month to secure victory on his first bout for over a year.

Eubank Jr. meanwhile is reportedly stepping up his own plans to return following last November's rematch loss to Conor Benn.

Berlanga has not shied away from his desire to meet the star in the ring before, and has now doubled down on facing the star.

"I'm looking forward ot getting a big fight with Chris Eubank," he told The Ring. "I want that fight. Let's do it in London. It's big.

"We [could] do some big numbers over there. He comes to fight. You know me, you get me started and I love to fight [as well].

"Everything just makes sense. I feel like a fight between me and him at the end of the year would be big, especially in London.”

Eubank Jr. has been linked to a possible bout in Nigeria in recent months, while Denel Bentley has offered him a title shot too.

The WBO middleweight champion expressed his own desire to face the veteran in his first major title defence earlier this month.

Berlanga, meanwhile, would also be keen to pursue a rematch with Hamzah Sheeraz, who handed him a chastening loss last year.
