Chamberlain delivers career best performance against O'Leary

After 12 months away from the ring, Mark Chamberlain, delivered a career best performance to beat Pierce O'Leary. 

O'Leary had everything in his favour from the crowd to the venue, Dublin's 3Arena, with this fight being billed as the moment he becomes Ireland's next big boxing star. 

Chamberlain however had other ideas and struck early with knockdowns in rounds two and three. 

Silencing the crowd and O'Leary covered in blood from a broken nose, 'Big Bang' did respond with a body shot in the seventh which left Chamberlain in all sorts of pain. 

The Brit did come back, went on the front foot, and finished O'Leary with a combination in round 10. 

A thrilling encounter between these two fighters has left fans wanting more and a rematch is likely, but for now, Chamberlain will head off on holiday and reflect on the best performance of his career so far. 

Zepeda relentless in world title triumph over Roach

13 months after failing in his first world title challenge, William Zepeda is a world champion at the second time of asking. 

In Las Vegas on Saturday night, Zepeda beat Lamont Roach Jr. to capture the vacant WBC world lightweight title, and it was a fitting performance for a newly crowned world champion. 

Zepeda's relentless fighting style was too much for the American who was gracious in defeat, but his winless streak now stretches to three fights after two draws prior to Saturday's meeting with Zepeda. 

Muratalla makes successful first defence of world title

Before Roach and Zepeda went head-to-head, Raymond Muratalla made the first defence of his IBF lightweight title. 

Going up against Robson Conceicao, the Brazilian failed to make the most of an opportunity he has been desperate to grasp with both hands. 

Muratalla's constant pressure, and power punches in the latter stages took their toll on Conceicao who was struggling to find openings, even when he tried to be creative with his strategy. 

The 29-year-old American was a convincing winner on all three judges' scorecards after 12 rounds and some big unification fights await.
