Haney 'reveals' location for world title fight against Davis

Haney's next outing is set for later this year when he defends his world title belt against mandatory challenger Keyshawn Davis.  

On Thursday, Top Rank won the purse bid to stage the contest, putting forward $8.55m to have promotional rights and announcing October 3 as the proposed date.

When submitting their purse bid, Top Rank announced that three arenas were in contention to stage the fight. 

These being New York's Barclays Center, the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, and Las Vegas' Michelob Ultra Arena. 

In a post on X, Haney hinted which arena could host this fight in early October. 

Reading "ATL..let's go!", Haney believes his clash with Davis will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. 

If this does turn into reality, it will be the first time Haney has fought in Atlanta.

However, there are still concerns as to whether this fight will still go ahead, with Davis yet to confirm he is ready to go ahead with the fight using the terms of the purse bid, where Haney will get 75% of the $8.55m, and Davis will receive the other 25%.
