In the aftermath of the fight, it was revealed that Parker had tested positive for cocaine and an investigation into that matter is still ongoing as he waits to resume his career.
For Wardley, the big bouts keep on coming and he will defend his belt on May 9 , live on DAZN , in Manchester against Daniel Dubois.
The contest will see two of the division's biggest punchers clash in a mouthwatering fight that will leave the winner in a position to move forward and pursue mire lucrative opportunities.
DAZNIf Wardley is victorious then he may be persuaded into a rematch with Parker and the former world champion insists that he will be the man who gets his hand raised if the pair were to meet again and he also believes Huni would beat Wardley.
“A few things happened before the fight where I didn’t really feel myself,” he told FightHype . "Getting caught is just boxing, the same as me, he [Huni] got caught.
"I reckon if Justis runs it back with him, or if I run it back with him, we both beat him, yeah, 100 per cent. Just don’t get caught in the process.”
