DAZN News Exclusive - Jack Catterall heading to America for big test against former world champion

Sources close to the situation have informed DAZN News that the Chorley man is likely to take on the former unified world champion as he waits patiently for a world title fight at welterweight. 

In recent months, Catterall has been linked to several high-profile fights including belt showdowns against the likes of Devin Haney and Lewis Crocker. 

Instead, it looks like it will be a former world ruler with Catterall travelling across the Atlantic for his next fight.

Since failing to become undisputed champion against Josh Taylor in 2021, the California man was slowly rebuilding until enduring back-to-back losses against Arnold Barboza Jr and Haney. 

Ramirez, like Catterall, is eager to become world champion, so the stakes in this one could be vital for the winner. 

The welterweight division is heating up against with the likes of Haney, Conor Benn, and Ryan Garcia all in the mix and Catterall and Ramirez will be keen to join that mix hopeful they land a major fight.
