Should Deontay Wilder retire after losing heavyweight trilogy fight to Tyson Fury?

The DAZN Boxing Show discussed Deontay Wilder’s options after he lost to Tyson Fury on Saturday night.
Wilder put in perhaps his best performance of the trilogy against the WBC champion but was unable to overcome an impressive Fury.
The 35-year-old American was noticeably bulked up ahead of the clash but admitted that Fury’s own size advantage was decisive as they contested their third bout.
Speaking on The DAZN Boxing Show, Akin ‘Ak’ Reyes said that while Wilder might have fallen short of getting another shot at a title, there are other big-name fights to be made.
“Maybe he needs different types of workouts, but in terms of him still being a force to be reckoned with in boxing I think that he should be in the sport,” he said.
“He's exciting for the sport - people want to watch him fight. I would love to see him against other fighters even if he has to backpedal a little bit and fight the other guys, like Andy Ruiz or Dillan Whyte.
“But there are other fighters out there that I would love to see Deontay fight before being back in the mix for the heavyweight crown, so I don't know where he goes from here. He said even before this fight that he doesn't really have to fight anymore, meaning financially he is stable.
“He is good. You know, him and his lady, they're starting so many different businesses. I'm pretty sure he has good investments. So does he have the hunger to continue to fight for the prize? We don't know.
“But in terms of physically, I think the man still can compete at a high level with a couple of tweaks. That's why I think he should go on from here.”
