100 Thieves crowned VALORANT champions at Esports World Cup 2026

The North American organisation claimed $600,000 in prize money and 1,000 Club Championship points after overcoming the reigning VALORANT Champions winners in an all-American final in Paris.

It is the biggest title in 100 Thieves' VALORANT history and a breakthrough moment for a roster that has steadily developed into one of the world's strongest teams.

Asuna finally gets his moment

Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk has been synonymous with 100 Thieves since joining the organisation as a teenager, remaining loyal through multiple roster rebuilds and several near misses on the international stage.

After more than five years with the club, the Canadian finally lifted the first major international trophy of his career as 100 Thieves' faith in a blend of experienced players and exciting young talent paid off.

Rookie in-game leader Jordan "vora" Pulwer played a crucial role throughout the tournament, helping guide the team through a difficult playoff bracket before delivering under pressure in the Grand Final.

Dramatic comeback seals the championship

100 Thieves took control of the series early by winning the opening two maps, leaving NRG on the brink of defeat.

The reigning world champions responded by claiming Haven before establishing a commanding 9-3 advantage on Ascent, appearing set to force a deciding fifth map.

Instead, 100 Thieves produced one of the tournament's biggest comebacks. They recovered after the side switch to force overtime before completing a 14-12 victory to secure the championship.

The resilience shown on the final map underlined why 100 Thieves emerged as one of the standout teams of the tournament despite entering behind several more heavily fancied contenders.

Cryocells earns MVP honours

Matthew "Cryocells" Panganiban was named tournament MVP after starring throughout the event.

His performances proved decisive during the playoff run, with the duelist consistently delivering in high-pressure moments as 100 Thieves defeated MIBR.LOS, Masters Santiago champions Nongshim RedForce and finally NRG to claim the title.

Earlier in the day, Nongshim RedForce secured third place after defeating BBL Esports.
