The Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence Series 2026 Championship takes centre stage at Esports World Cup 2026 this week, with 32 of the world's best teams heading to Paris to compete for a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.

The Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence Series 2026 Championship takes place from Thursday, July 30 to Sunday, August 2 as part of Week 4 at Esports World Cup 2026.

The tournament begins with 32 teams split into two groups of 16, with each group contesting 12 matches.
The top five teams from each group will qualify directly for the Grand Final, while the bottom three are eliminated. The remaining 16 teams progress to the Survival Stage, where another 10 matches will determine the final six Grand Final qualifiers.
The championship concludes with Warzone's signature Match Point format. Rather than ending after a set number of games, teams must first reach the Match Point threshold before becoming eligible to win the tournament. Once they have done so, they must then win a subsequent match to secure the championship, creating one of the most dramatic finishes in esports.
Who are the favourites?
Twisted Minds return to Paris as the defending Esports World Cup champions and once again look like the team to beat.
The reigning champions secured qualification through strong performances on the Warzone Resurgence Series, finishing second in Birmingham and fourth in Atlanta. Combined with a roster packed full of elite Warzone talent, they head into EWC 2026 as one of the leading contenders to retain their title.
Among the biggest threats are Ravens Esports, whose fortunes have been transformed over the past year. After missing out on qualification for EWC 2025, the French organisation rebuilt its roster and quickly established itself as one of the strongest teams on the circuit with impressive results in Birmingham and Atlanta.
Competing in front of a home crowd could provide another advantage as Ravens look to cap their resurgence with a deep run in Paris.
Fellow French side Team Orchid also arrives with growing confidence after securing third place at DreamHack Atlanta to book its place at Esports World Cup 2026.
Despite only spending a relatively short time together, Orchid has rapidly developed into one of the tournament's most dangerous outsiders and will hope home support can help propel it towards the latter stages.
