When is Rocket League at Esports World Cup 2026?

The Rocket League tournament at the Esports World Cup begins on Wednesday, August 12 and runs until Sunday, August 16.
The action takes place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, with the first two days dedicated to the group stage before the surviving teams progress towards Championship Weekend.
The champion will be crowned on Sunday, August 16.
What is the Rocket League Esports World Cup 2026 format?
A total of 16 teams will compete for the EWC Rocket League title.
The tournament begins with a two-day group stage, with the field divided into two groups.
Teams compete in best-of-five Upper Bracket series and best-of-seven Lower Bracket series, with the surviving teams advancing to Championship Weekend.
From there, the playoff bracket gradually reduces the field until only two teams remain to contest the Grand Final and determine the 2026 EWC champion.
There is plenty at stake beyond the trophy.
The tournament features a total prize pool of $1 million, with the winning team taking home $400,000.
The champions will also earn 1,000 Club Championship points, meaning Rocket League could have a significant impact on the wider Esports World Cup standings.
Who are the favourites to win Rocket League at EWC 2026?
Karmine Corp enter the tournament as the defending champions and one of the leading contenders to win the trophy again.
The French organisation returns to compete in front of its home crowd in Paris, with Axel "Vatira" Touret and Tristan "Atow" Soyez remaining from its championship-winning roster.
They are joined this year by Charles "juicy" Sabiani.
Despite the adjustment, the objective remains the same.
Karmine Corp have the opportunity to become the first Rocket League team to win consecutive Esports World Cup titles, adding another major trophy to the organisation's growing esports legacy.
But one of their biggest threats comes with an intriguing connection to last year's champions.
Team Falcons finished third at the previous EWC and strengthened their roster by signing Samy "Dralii" Hajji from Karmine Corp.
Dralii arrives with two EWC championship titles already to his name and will now attempt to prevent his former teammates from successfully defending their crown.
After reaching the podium last time around, Falcons enter the 2026 tournament looking to go two places better and finally claim the title.
They are not the only challengers with championship experience.
Team Vitality have 2024 EWC champion Brice "ExoTiiK" Bigeard on their roster, while Twisted Minds feature his former championship-winning teammate Evan "M0nkey M00n" Rogez.
That means four teams enter this year's tournament with players who have previously lifted the EWC trophy.
