NHL Games To Watch For The Week Of December 22

Now, we enter the seventh week of the NHL season, and there are some intriguing games on the docket.

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Chicago Blackhawks: Sunday, December 28/Monday, December 29 (7:00 pm ET/Midnight GMT/2:00 am CEST)

Sidney Crosby makes his yearly stop in Chicago as he comes off breaking the Penguins all-time scoring record on Sunday night.

On the other hand, the Blackhawks have been struggling since losing star forward Connor Bedard until the early part of January, losing five games in a row. 

Vancouver Canucks @ Philadelphia Flyers: Monday, December 22/Tuesday, December 23 (7:30 pm ET/12:30 am GMT/2:30 am CEST)

Since trading their best player in Quinn Hughes, the Canucks have played their best hockey of the season, winning four consecutive games with a 13-6 advantage. After a great start to the season, the Flyers (17-10-7) have played some of their worst hockey of late, losing five of six.

Florida Panthers @ Carolina Hurricanes: Tuesday, December 23/Wednesday, December 24 (7:00 pm ET/Midnight GMT/2:00 am CEST)

The two best teams in the Eastern Conference as have squared off in the conference finals. The Hurricanes are on top of the conference with 47 points, while the Panthers have been playing better of late, going 7-2-1 in their last ten games and are up to 40 points. 

Could they play for a third straight year with a berth in the Stanley Cup Finals at stake?
