Boots Ennis on Vergil Ortiz: 'This is the fight I want next'

Ennis held up his end of the bargain, blitzing Uisma Lima in under two minutes back in October. It was expected that Ennis would be in attendance with promoter Eddie Hearn to scout and put the pressure on Ortiz and his promoter Oscar De La Hoya. 

Ennis made a post on Instagram that made it appear he wouldn't be coming to Dallas. But much to people's surprise, "Boots" played everyone and arrived at Dickies Arena with Hearn. Before the co-main event of this evening's card, Ennis made it clear he wants Ortiz next if he takes care of Erickson Lubin.

"This is the fight I want next, Ennis told DAZN's Chris Mannix.

Hearn echoed the same sentiment as Ennis.

"Let's make it happen," Hearn told Mannix.
