Joao Pedro urges introspection after Chelsea's sixth straight Premier League loss: 'We need to find a way to do better'

It was a new head coach but the same old story for Chelsea on Monday, as the Blues fell 3-1 to visiting Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.
The defeat made it six losses in a row in the Premier League for the London side, who sacked Liam Rosenior after the losing skid reached five games and replaced him with interim boss Calum McFarlane.
However, McFarlane's presence wasn't enough to reverse a worrying trend for the Blues, as they were by far the second-best side on the pitch during Monday's match against the Tricky Trees.
The result leaves Chesea in ninth place with just three matches left to play, and goal scorer Joao Pedro believes the team will need to do some soul searching as they close out the season with the final stretch of league matches and the FA Cup final on May 16.
"From the beginning, we conceded too early and against Forest it's difficult to change the game," the Brazilian told Sky Sports. "I think we should do better.
"We need to find a way to try to not do these mistakes every game. We need to start to win games. This is the Premier League and if you concede too early after that it's very difficult to come back.
"Everyone needs to look at themselves - me included. We need to find a way to do better. I feel sorry for the fans - tomorrow we see what has gone wrong.
"It's difficult because I don't think it's about the coach. It's about the players and it's on us to step up, me included. It's difficult to say something."
Now 10 points out of the final Champions League spot, there may be little left for Chelsea to play for. However, the 24-year-old wants his team to end with a run of strong performances even if it comes to nothing in terms of European football next season.
"Last week we won against Leeds [in the FA Cup semis], this week it didn't happen, we need to find a way to win," he said. "The motivation is always there - today if we won we would be able to be in the Champions League.
"Now will be more difficult but we need to still fight for every game and for every point and see what we can achieve."
