Enzo Fernandez has scored 50 times between club and country, but his favourite came when wearing the famous blue and white stripes of his native Argentina.
The Chelsea midfielder took part in a live, interactive DAZN experience on Thursday that allows fans to ask questions directly via a new, groundbreaking app feature powered by The Residency, connecting fans with their football heroes.
It was during this chat with fans that he revealed his favourite goal.
"The goal against Mexico in the World Cup in Qatar," Fernandez wrote.
They say you never forget your first, and the 25-year-old's first goal for the Albiceleste remains the most impactful in Fernandez's mind. It was a big one for Argentina as well — the South Americans were playing in their second Group C match after losing to Saudi Arabia in their maiden game and needed a result, which Fernandez helped secure with his second-half strike.

While the goal stands out as a lasting personal achievement for the midfielder, who also won the FIFA Young Player Award at Qatar 2022, Fernandez's lasting memory of that tournament was experiencing it as part of the first Argentina side to win the World Cup since 1986.
"There are a lot of beautiful memories and the process experienced until reaching the final," he said. "But winning the final is the best memory."
After fans had the opportunity to message Lautaro Martinez, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Enzo Fernández in recent weeks, on Friday, March 20, it is the turn of Barcelona and Spain midfielder FermÃn López.
The 22-year-old will share insights into his career and personal life, directly answering the questions fans pose to him live via The Residency on the DAZN app.
