Gervonta Davis: Ryan Garcia is an Instagram fighter

After securing the latest win of his career against Isaac Cruz on Gervonta Davis’ attention switched to other fighters in the lightweight division, most notably, Ryan Garcia. ‘Tank’s’ victory kept him at the business end of the 135lbs division, and heading into 2022, there’s a ton of options available for the heavy-handed Baltimore fighter.
With George Kambosos and Devin Haney recently picking up impressive wins over Teofimo Lopez and JoJo Diaz respectively, a number of fighters are capable of huge fights next year. Vasiliy Lomachenko battles Richard Commey this weekend in another solid encounter, but it was Garcia who felt the wrath of Davis in the aftermath of his most recent success.
“He a Instagram fighter,” said Davis when speaking with BoxingScene in the hours after his decision win over Cruz. “We don’t worry about him. [He’s a] YouTuber, yeah. He’s a pretty girl. That’s what he is. He just talk.”
