Fisher mulls Matchroom exit as negotiation table opens up

Johnny Fisher has confirmed that he is able to speak with other promoters, as the heavyweight mulls an exit from Matchroom.
The star has made his home with Eddie Hearn for much of his professional career, but has struggled for bouts in the past year.
After last May's rematch loss to Dave Allen, 'The Romford Bull' has fought once - a four-round win over Ivan Baláž in December.
Speaking with Boxing Scene, Fisher admits that he would hope to remain with Matchroom, but concurs he could test free agency.

“I’m now at a really important part of my career," he said on the choice. "I’m negotiating my deal with Eddie Hearn as we speak.
"But I’m also in a position when I can hear people at the same time. I can see what's out there and get the best value for me.
“I met with Eddie last week and told him. It opens it up to a broader sphere and all the different promotional companies out there.
"We’re working towards a deal , but I’d be a fool not to see what my market value is. I’ve got to see how what Eddie is offering stacks up.”
