Upon signing with Zuffa Boxing, Johnny Fisher had a date and a venue for his debut with the new promotion. Now, he's got an opponent.
Zuffa Boxing announced on Wednesday that the hard-hitting heavyweight will battle Michael Pirotton at the Copper Box Arena in London on Saturday, September 26.
Fisher (14-1, 12 KOs) last fought in December in Monte Carlo. After a slow start that included a point deduction, Fisher rebounded with a fourth-round stoppage win over Ivan Balaz to get back on the winning track, as he'd been stopped by Dave Allen in May 2025 before that. A Fisher win will hopefully net the "Romford Bull" a significant fight that he's desiring to have,
“It’s a golden ticket for Michael Pirotton," Fisher said in a statement. "But it’s also my golden ticket because if I win, I get to go on to bigger and better things. I’ve got ambitions in this game.”
The unknown Pirotton (12-2, 6 KOs) is 2-2 in his last four fights. Pirotton has got back-to-back stoppage wins in 2026. Now, Pirotton looks for the biggest win on his resume.
The WBA welterweight title is on the line as Rolly Romero and Teofimo Lopez face off this Saturday, August 22, live on DAZN.
